Day 2 in the car and we are all ready for a break. This morning we woke up, attended a local sacrament meeting, and hit the road for another day of driving. Here are the states that welcomed us today.
TRIP TIP #3 Be open to change on road trips!
Today, we decided to change Kris's carefully planned schedule a bit. So instead of spending all of tomorrow at Gettysburg, PA as originally planned, we decided to hurry on the road and visit the national park this evening for a couple hours {seemed like an appropriate Sunday activity since it's free and Kris gave us enough detail that we didn't need to visit the visitors center at all}, giving us more time during the week for other adventures. Right choice! Josh loved it, having just studied the Civil War in American History this year, but the other kids would have been stretching it to stay there the whole day tomorrow.
After checking things out, we hit another state and checked in late again at our next hotel.
Can't wait for the real adventure to begin tomorrow.
